Making a Photo Stream
I've been trying to quit Instagram for a while, but part of what kept me there was posting random shit to stories. Recently, I saw 100r's tiny photo site, which seemed perfect.
A key requirement was leveraging iOS photo captions, since they're easy to add right from the phone:
Turns out these captions conveniently show up in EXIF as ImageDescription. A quick parse, and it's ready.
Now I just drop photos into a Dropbox folder, and a tiny cron job runs my nights binary once a day, building out the index.html. No JS, nothing weird, just photos.
